2008 Documentary bonus hit

I finished cataloging my Christmas box rip of 2008 Documentary. Noticing that I seemed to be some packs short of the full box, I found out a family member was holding onto a stack and haven't ripped it yet.

I was able to get those packs ripped and found a autograph hit. So the box yielded an autograph in addition to the Yankee Stadium Legacy buyback that I had originally thought constituted the only box hit.

January 2010 - First 3 scans of packs of a new box

I've scanned the first three packs I opened of a new box that I started a few days ago. The product is 1996 Topps Laser Series 1, a product that was released during my hobby hiatus and then brought to my attention on the Wax Heaven (RIP) blog a while back. It's a great product in that boxes must have cost over a $100 when new (since packs supposedly were $5 each) but boxes can be found nowdays for under $20.

January 9, 2010 - 2005 Donruss Champions

I'm still working on scanning the packs of the new box I started a few days ago. I hope I can have them up tomorrow.

I did manage to scan some of the wrappers I've saved from prior box breaks and that appears as the new banner to this blog. It is a pretty exciting to lay down the wrappers on the scanner glass, not know what it will look like since you can't see what the scanner sees when you arrange the wrappers, and then wait until the scanner finishes to see what the image looks like and be amazed that it seemed to come out better than expected!

Since I finished a 2009 Piece of History box, I've decided to start another Black Friday 2009 box special, 2005 Donruss Champions.
